Early Spring Flowers Annuals

Those annuals that can withstand 20 degrees or so include pansies, snapdragons, dianthus, alyssum, dusty miller, viola, flowering cabbage and kale. These lovely bulbs bring a dramatic look to an early garden, and are one of the showiest. From as young as i can remember, my mother had irises growing in the early spring.
Plant violas and pansies in pots, baskets, and window boxes to brighten your early spring garden. Announcing the departure of winter with lovely pink, purple, yellow, or white petals, crocuses are one of the best early spring flowers. Always water annuals after planting.
